EG-AR: the fully automated bending system - Amada Engineering Europe
The tour inside AMADA Robot Technical Center continues!
After analyzing the HG-1003ARs, now we present the EG-6013AR, a new and multi-functional bending robot for higher accuracy and increased productivity.
Several features make this a standout machine set to revolutionize the bending industry: It uses a high speed, high accuracy servo press brake with the world’s first twin dual servo press (DSP) mechanism. The press brake is combined with a robot optimized for bending small parts with the same speed as human operators. Small parts that involve hazardous operations when handled manually can be thus bent safely and efficiently.
Four new technologies stick out from this solution:
1) INTELLIGENT PROCESSING
New AMNC 3i numerical control and dedicated CAM system that ensures efficient part processing with offline programming, automatic generation of robot motion and no requirements for manual teaching.
2) HIGH SPEED AND HIGHLY ACCURATE BENDING OF SMALL PARTS FROM A SMALL FOOTPRINT
Dedicated robot with a specific arm able to go inside the press brake and bend small parts which have been previously impossible to bend automatically and a new gripper equipped with both clamp and vacuum able to reduce the number of required robots from two to one.
3) IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY AND ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT
New servo drive system (DSP) that foresee two motors able to achieve a maximum tonnage of 600kN and a 10% power reduction if compared with conventional high-end press brake.
4) HIGH SPEED AND SPACE SAVING BENDING
Both tool changing and workpiece handling are performed by a single robot achieving high speed bending from a compact footprint.
